The Team Isiah Foundation participated in the ribbon cutting ceremony for the opening of "Kerrigan's Korner" funded by Ryan Kerrigan's Blitz For Better Foundation) at Medstar Georgetown's Pediatric Hematology Oncology unit. The Kerrigan's Korner will provide children and their families access to electronics during their clinic visits. Team Isiah Foundation introduced the hospital to Ryan and initially proposed the idea of a Kerrigan's Korner at Medstar Georgetown. Team Isiah Foundation donated an Xbox One gaming system as well.
The Team Isiah Foundation recently hosted a Bone Marrow Drive at St. Albans School in Washington, D.C. Special thanks to St. Albans School for allowing us to hold the event there and to the young men in the STA Class of 2018 who joined the National Bone Marrow Registry.
The Team Isiah Foundation recently honored Georgetown University Hospital Pediatric Oncologists Dr. Corina Gonzalez and Dr. Helkha Peredo-Pinto for providing excellent care to children with cancer. We also honored cancer survivor Justin Shim for his fundraising efforts to help the Team Isiah Foundation over the past year. Justin is a member of the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) and he raised money for both Team Isiah and the AJGA via his golf tournaments.
The Team Isiah Foundation recently hosted a family dinner for over 70 children and their families at the Children's Inn at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). It was great meeting and talking to the children and their families. They were happy to see us and even happier to eat the meal (which included pizza, salad, chicken and pasta for dinner as well as cake and brownies for dessert).

Special thanks also goes out to the very accommodating staff at Children's Inn for allowing us the opportunity to serve and helping us coordinate the dinner. The Team Isiah Foundation was blessed recently to donate items to the Howard University Hospital Boarder Babies Program ,The Children's Hospital of Richmond and the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles. The donations of a large screen television, Xbox, games and Team Isiah Foundation backpacks were made possible by the generous donations of Owens & Minor. We offer our sincere thanks to them for making this possible.
The Team Isiah Foundation recently visited the Sinai Hospital of Baltimore and The Children's Inn at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). We were able to meet the doctors and staff who provide treatment to the children at Sinai's Alfred I Coplan Pediatric Hematology Oncology Outpatient Center. Team Isiah Foundation also donated an Xbox One S gaming system and a laptop computer to the Outpatient Center.
Team Isiah Foundation also visited The Children's Inn at NIH and met several of their staff who coordinate and deliver programs for children and their families. The Children's Inn at NIH provides temporary housing and programming for children (and their families) who are being treated for various life threatening illnesses at the many medical facilities that are part of NIH. Team Isiah Foundation also donated an Xbox One S gaming system along with video games, movies and gift cards (courtesy of Shoppers Food Warehouse).
The Team Isiah Foundation recently hosted a mini-golf event for cancer survivors in at Upton Regional Park in Arlington, VA. Six cancer survivors and about 20 family members and friends attended the event where they tried their hand at mini-golf and enjoyed snacks and refreshments.
The Team Isiah Foundation hosted its kickoff luncheon on Sunday for several of the children that we have met through Isiah's treatment at Georgetown University Hospital and their families. We were blessed to be able to distribute small financial gifts and sports memorabilia (courtesy of Ryan Kerrigan's foundation) to the children.
Isiah was asked by the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) to be the "honored hero" for the 2nd Annual Ryan Kerrigan Leukemia Golf Classic, which was held at the Lansdowne Resort in Leesburg, Virginia on May 16, 2016. The event raised over $570,000 for the LLS, which plays a significant part in raising much needed funds to fight Leukemia and other blood cancers.Isiah assisted Ryan Kerrigan from the Washington Redskins in kicking off the golf tournament. He also had the privilege of telling his personal story during the evening event (a dinner reception and auction). Isiah raised awareness of the challenges that young cancer patients often face and also how he has dealt with his ongoing treatment.
